Guess what we’re adding to MHM Books?! Pro-Life Kids!

Every once in a while, a great book comes out that is not only fun to read, but has an incredible message. And that is what I found in Pro-Life Kids, by Bethany Bomberger.

Author Background

Just for some background on the author, Bethany Bomberger and her incredible husband, Ryan, are the founders of The Radiance Foundation (Sidenote: If you don’t follow them on Facebook or Instagram, you definitely need to!!). They are an amazing adoptive couple who love the LORD and stand firm on Truth, along with their four beautiful children. They believe, as we strongly do here at MHM too, that “life has purpose.” And so Bethany used her talent of writing to express that in an entertaining and engaging rhyming book for kids.

As we all know, speaking to kids about abortion can be very difficult. The atrocity of murdering babies in the womb is dark and sinful, and tricky to explain to young children. But I love how the book speaks to abortion candidly without going into unnecessary details for little ears.

I would also add that this book shows how all life is beautiful and valuable. This is something that is so lacking in our culture today. Out of one side of the cultural mouth, many speak compassionately of empowering those who are physically or mentally challenged. Obviously, this is wonderful. However, out of the other side of the cultural mouth, many others speak inhumanely of terminating a pregnancy if the baby is found to have any kind of possible physical or mental challenges. Clearly, this is wicked and wrong. We must not only call out these inconsistencies. Hope and light must also be shared, as well as the fact that every life in the womb is precious and has purpose (Josh 1:5).

We can not stop speaking Truth to the lies of the culture. We must continue to fight for the lives of babies in the womb. And there’s no better time to teach that to our children than when they are young. If we don’t, we all know who will.
